GK's first christmas

All she wanted for Christmas was her 2 front teeth. Mom wasn't so sure, I got a fussy baby as she cut her 1st 2 teeth on the bottom. This has made an already really drolly baby downright slimy. So at 5 months old she is really happy to have accomplished a couple of major milestones. Smiling, Laughing, Teeth, flipping over both ways and being cute. We are so blessed.

braden's blogsite

Braden's blog. So one of the goals for the last few months was to help Braden start a blog. He has a million things to say, and he is trying to grow in his writing skills. I also thought this would be a fun thing for us to do together. We enjoyed a trip to pick up some last minute things for Christmas and found ourselves halfway to chicago by accident, I missed an exit. This was as a result of trying to come up with a fitting name for his blog site. Plenty of the names we came up with were taken so we had to improvise, BeesAmimusOculus(B's minds eye, in latin) was the winner. Check it out I am sure that it will be entertaining

Christmas Picture

Our crazy family Christmas, these smiles are hard to get all at once. You notice mom and dad aren't in the picture this could be because you probably couldn't catch us smiling during this escapade. These were supposed to be included in our Christmas cards that we send out twice a decade it seems but as usual it didn't happen. Next year is my year and now that it is writing hopefully I will have some accountability.

out from the fog.

I am finally out from under the fog of the months of nov and dec. these unfortunately have a tendancy to be a bit overwhelming. A growing family with all of the expectations, as well as a busniess that is keeping me busy helps me to be distracted from thinking or doing much but a desperate effort to keep the wheels turning. I always get to this point in the holiday's and vow to make it different next year. Start things earlier... put my priorities right... I feel like I might be getting closer? but we shall see. but for the fam so you can see what my time has brought me this past couple of months.

Pumpkin mouth?

Thanks mom! these are the best I could do with a couple of girls who insisted on being pumpkins for halloween. Its hard to see the tiny gap in Madisons toothy smile but this is what initiated the pumpkin craze!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! At least for most of us Snow White had a little trouble with getting in the mood for pictures but give her charge of baby Georgia and her smile comes back to life.

kyles birthday

what a great surprise. the boys ran out to play a game of soccer and ran back in screaming "can we take a wagon ride?" Sure enough, in the middle of the burbs, right down the cul.de.sac comes a horse and wagon giving all of the neighborhood kids rides.

I can't get anything done.

I keep meaning to get all kinds of stuff done during naptime unfortunately I am enjoying my baby way to much, she is starting to smile and coo, and it seems like while Reg is asleep is the only time I get to enjoy her. So while the laundry and dishes pile I have to remind myself not to feel so much guilt and that this is precious time, and I can't get it back.

Perspective

My kiddos are driving us crazy but if I spend enough time with them when they are sleeping or when I capture a moment on film I remember how awesome they are most of the time. They all are uniquely designed, I can't wait to see what is in store for them in the future, then again I can... I want to keep them here, sweet and innocent. If I look at my glass it is beautiful before it is placed in the fire, but it can be so much more after it has been worked in the flame formed into something new. I hope to always look at them in this light, the kids that is, hopeful for what they will become, and treasuring them for what they are right now.
